On the day of 31. December 2004. there were 1.170.092 members in four obligatory pension funds (OMF).

There were 103.377 new members that had joined OMF's during the year 2004, which are 8.615 members monthly on the average.  During the year 2003. there were 11.041 new members on monthly bases.

According to the method of membership attainment there is a continuation of negative trend of ratio between personal registration and placement within OMF under official duty of REGOS. In the year 2004.  there was 86,70% of new members, among who 89.630 were placed by REGOS under official duty, while there was only 13% or 13.537 new members who had personally chosen OMF to be placed at. In order of comparison, in the year 2003. there were 79,19% (104.926 members) placed into OMFs by REGOS and 20,81% of personal registration (27.572 members).

In 2004. there were 4,217 personal accounts closed for the members of OMFs due to retirement, death or some other reason.

On 31. December 2004. from total 1.170.092 members of OMFs 617.094 members or 52,74% were men, and 552.998 members or 47,26% were women.

Based on age structure of membership in the end of 2004, 0,80% of members were 18 or less, and 17,05% between 19-24 years of age. Next tree age groups are equally represented in total membership: 20,99% members ( 25-29 years of age), 20,19% (30-34 years of age) and 20,83% (35.39 years of age). In the age between 40 and 44 there is 15,13% members, 45-49 years 4,13%members, and above 50 years of age there is 0,88% or 10.364 members.
